TODD HARDY COMBINED CONVICTION WITH COURAGE AND COMPASSION
Todd Hardy, NDP Leader in the Legislative Assembly, passed away this morning after a long battle with leukemia surrounded by his family, in the home they built.
“It is with great sadness that I heard today that Todd’s work here is done and he has left us to carry on the many tasks he took on throughout the years I have worked with him,” said Steve Cardiff, NDP House Leader. “His courage and enthusiasm never wavered and he will be an inspiration for me and many others as we continue to represent his constituents and all Yukoners.”
The former carpenter, contractor and union negotiator led the Yukon New Democratic Party from 2002 to 2009.
He is survived by his wife Louise, their children, Janelle, Tytus, Tess and Lymond, and their granddaughter, Ellazora.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 2:00pm at the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre.
